Wordle has been around since June 2021, but it took about six to seven months for it to take off and take over all of your social media feeds. The word game has become a ritual for many, and a welcome distraction from what seems like an endless stream of “unprecedented events” and bad news—and also a way to keep in touch with friends as you share scores, or Wordle tips and tricks every day. If you and your Wordle friends are eager to play old Wordle puzzles, the internet heard your pleas and didn’t disappoint. In fact, there’s more than one way to play through the Wordle archive. Here’s where to find old Wordle puzzles and Wordle archived games.
Wordle Archive: How to Play Old Wordle Puzzles
Can you play old Wordle game puzzles?
While initially, we were only able to play the specific Wordle puzzle for that day, we’re now able to access past Wordle puzzles through the Wordle Archive. Metzger Media created the Wordle Archive, which has some awesome features: You can keep track of your plays, scores, and wins going back to the very first Wordle from June 19, 2021. You can also create your own five-letter Wordle puzzle for friends to solve; play a random Wordle; play a six-letter Wordle puzzle; and play Word Race, which lets you and an opponent compete to complete a Wordle puzzle the fastest. Another Wordle Archive is available through Wordle dupe Word Master, though it has fewer features than the Metzger Media model.
Does everyone get the same Wordle?
When playing the regular Wordle game daily, everyone gets the same five-letter word puzzle in a 24-hour period.
Can you play Wordle more than once a day?
You can’t play the genuine Wordle puzzle more than once a day. That said, if you’re looking for more games like Wordle to play more often, you can enjoy dupes like Word Master, Wordle Unlimited, HelloWordl, and Wheeldle as many times as you want.
Can you download Wordle?
Wordle isn’t currently available as a downloadable app. In fact, if you find any that claim to be Wordle apps specifically, they’ll likely be pulled from app stores shortly due to copyright infringement — and that’s happened before, especially for Apple users.
