“They are just very invested, you know?” Heughan remarked about his fans with a warm chuckle. “They’re really supportive of everything we do, from the charity work we put our voices to, they just get behind it.” As any major Heulighan knows, the fitness-minded, 41-year-old actor launched a fundraising organization in 2015 called My Peak Challenge. The platform has grown in leaps and bounds over the past several years; as Heughan explained to Variety, “It’s basically a fitness platform. We have daily workouts, we have mindfulness, yoga, nutrition, but whilst you’re helping yourself, you’re helping others. We donate 50 percent of all proceeds to charity and we’ve raised over $6 million now… Ultimately, it’s about our ‘Peakers,’ as we call them, our subscribers. They’ve really banded together to make their own community.” But as for fans’ weird tokens of affection? “We’ve had a variety of really interesting gifts,” Heughan said. “I think I received a crate of overripe avocados, homemade peanut butter, to a duvet with my face on it to crocheted dolls of myself.” Hold up: A duvet with Heughan’s face on it? “Yes, yeah,” Heughan insisted. “I’m not sure if they imagined me sleeping with it, but um, you know, it’s good to remind yourself of who you are when you go to sleep.” He added that he believes the bedding is in his Outlander trailer somewhere and mused, “They should’ve given me a duvet with their faces on it.” Next, Celebrate the End of Droughtlander With Our Outlander-Inspired Gift Guide—Perfect for the Sassenach in Your Life
