In a priceless new clip from the Friday, Dec. 16 episode of Sherri, the 55-year-old host was gifted a legendary surprise by her best friend and executive producer Jawn Murray, who has been teasing his secret present for Shepherd all week.  “My friend Sherri…it’s time for your surprise!” Murray cryptically says in the clip, before another mystery voice is heard saying, “Sherri…you’ve got company!”  While Shepherd is seen basically on the edge of her seat in anticipation, the studio doors open up to reveal none other than Janet Jackson running out to join the daytime TV star on stage.  And Shepherd’s reaction was enough to give us all a bit of holiday cheer, as she almost couldn’t contain her excitement over Jackson’s appearance, repeatedly screaming “Oh my god,” and jumping up and down.  The two women then joined together for a big hug, while Shepherd began tearing up.  “Oh girl, I’m so excited,” Shepherd said through her sobs, prompting the iconic singer-dancer to comfort her with another embrace.  “I can’t believe you’re here,” Shepherd exclaimed, while Jackson, 56, pointed out, “You’re crying!” and sweetly wiped away her tears and fixed up her makeup.  And as if that wasn’t enough excitement for Shepherd for one day, the “That’s the Way Love Goes” songstress then brought out a gift for the actress, who joked, “Is it another Janet?”  The gift ended up being a T-shirt from Jackson’s upcoming tour, the Together Again tour, which the hitmaker will be kicking off in April 2023. “I wanted to invite you to the first show…If you want to come,” Jackson asked, to which Shepherd quickly accepted, while also offering her services in case the performer needs an extra backup dancer for the show.  Shepherd then confirmed that she will certainly be in attendance for the tour’s opening show on April 14 in Hollywood, Fla., before beginning a sentimental message to Jackson, revealing that she sat outside all day to get tickets to one of her previous concerts when she was younger.  “I just want to tell you, you have inspired me for so many years and you are so absolutely amazing,” Shepherd added, while the crowd erupted into cheers. We can only imagine how Shepherd feels, since watching it unfold was so exciting!
