The actress, who starred in Parks and Recreation and Good Girls, first visited Rome, Italy for relaxation and good food and drinks before heading to Florence. In a series of videos shared on Instagram, the actress recapped her travels, “Finally getting around to posting my trip to Italy. These vids take a long time so the roll out [sic] may not be swift. 🇮🇹 Italy 2022 Pt. 1 🇮🇹.” The first video started with text on the screen that read, “Lemme tell you ‘bout my trip to Italy. But before I do that, gonna let ya in on how it started.” The 52-year-old actress first explained her process of preparing for a trip, writing, “First I had to pack. Not my favorite. I don’t like to OVER pack so I plan. And I start… w/a grid of look options.” The video then cut to 15 photos of Retta modeling beautiful outfits before revealing which stylish looks “made it over the Atlantic” for her trip. The rest of the first video showed her day traveling to Italy before she finally arrived at her accommodations from the Rome airport, “‘Twas a rough start here in Roma but she’s here,” the overlayed text read. The video ended with a message to “stay tuned” for the next part. Many people liked and commented on Retta’s new post, especially Lisa Delcampo of Netflix’s The Circle Season 2, who wrote, “Already loving the first one. I may have to save the rest of them up and binge in one day! 😂.” Many fans also complimented Retta’s style, “You could literally pack anything and look incredible,” one adored. Luckily, for fans of the first video, Retta already uploaded the second part, which showed her adventures with friends in Rome, the star’s visit to the Trevi Fountain, and of course, some snaps of good food. She teased the third installment of her travel series with the caption, “Part 3️⃣ coming soon-ish?” so if fans are patient, they’ll get a glance into her travels in Florence and beyond!
