Backtracked by Alexis Jordan’s “Happiness,” a popular audio on TikTok that creators often use to share unbelievable things that have been said or done to them, Witherspoon’s video focused on “Things People Say When We Meet In Person,” as the title text at the start of the video read.  But instead of gushing over characters or complimenting her outfits, it turns out people really hone in on the actress’ height—or lack thereof.  “You are shorter than I thought,” the first statement read, followed by, “Wow, you are REALLY short,” and “Gosh I thought you were taller”. “Yes, I really am THAT short 🤷🏼‍♀️,” Witherspoon wrote in the caption. Comments flooded in, including several from sympathetic fellow celebs.  “I believe I used the word “petite” when we first met 😂,” Eva Chen, the director of fashion partnerships at Instagram, wrote in response.  “And you still have 2 inches on me,” Kristin Chenoweth pointed out.  “😂Short but MIGHTY,” Gwyneth Paltrow commented of the actress’s reported 5'1 stature. Christina Ricci noted that “It’s amazing we’re able to function really, us shorties,” while Jesse Williams left a bunch of laughing emojis followed by one shrugging, suggesting he was guilty of being one of those people.  Fans had plenty of kind words to say, too, and the vast majority could relate.  “But definitely not when it comes to talent and personality! 🥰,” wrote one.  “Just concentrated awesome, as my mom says!” said another.  Despite her good attitude about the constant focus on her height, perhaps we should all take this as a lesson to just not mention it should we ever have the good fortune to meet Elle Woods herself.  More News:
