The thick caramel locks the singer rocked for years are long gone, as Lopez, 53, chopped the length off and styled her golden waves into a long bob or a ’lob’ haircut, as per new photos on social media. The images were shared by the artist’s hairstylist, Rob Zangardi, on Dec. 20 via Instagram, who is known for his celebrity-studded list of clientele, including Gwen Stefani and Rihanna. In 2020, he was named one of the Top 10 Power Stylists of the Decade by The Hollywood Reporter. Zangardi posted two photos of the “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” songstress and cheered in the caption, “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year @jlo #RandM.” In the snaps, Lopez dazzled in a red tiered gown and glam makeup, wearing her now much shorter hair in thick waves that ended just at her shoulder–an ode to “Old Hollywood,” as one fan called it. The first pic, a close-up, showed off the pop star’s dramatic transformation and glamorous accessories, which included exquisite statement earrings and a berry lip color. But as with any worthwhile photoshoot, Lopez needed a shot of the full ‘fit–which she got with a second snap of her climbing a grand staircase and stretching the full length of the gown’s train. Fans of the star, who hasn’t been seen rocking a shorter hairdo since the ’90s, immediately fell in love with her glam look. “I LOCE the throw back to yesteryear old Hollywood!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥,” one erupted in the comments. “So gorgeous!” gushed another. While Lopez has yet to debut the new hair on her Instagram page, we’re hopeful she’ll deliver before the holidays!
