The mother-daughter duo were two of 400 VIPs invited to the event, so naturally, they went all-out with their glamorous outfits for the occasion. The ladies matched in black gowns, with the Yes Day star opting for a floor-length, boat-neck, sleeveless Ralph Lauren dress with sequin accents. Meanwhile, Violet wore a Carolina Herrera dress with heart imprints and paired the look with red, pointed-toe heels. Garner styled her chic new haircut in loose curls as Violet pulled her blonde tresses into a sleek low bun. As they walked into the event, Garner and Violet held hands and gazed lovingly at each other. While it’s an honor to be invited to the White House, the evening was extra special for Violet as she celebrated her 17th birthday at the Dec. 1 event. Garner shares Violet with ex-husband Ben Affleck, who recently married Jennifer Lopez. Garner and Affleck are also co-parents to 13-year-old Seraphina Rose and 10-year-old Samuel.
