The actress’ 14-year-old daughter, Maddie, attended her high school homecoming dance over the weekend, and her doting mom was sure to capture the special moment. The Sweet Magnolias actress, 31, shared the series of photos to Instagram on Sunday, where she was seen posing alongside her dolled-up teen, who was dressed in a glitzy purple mini dress for the dance. Maddie is Spears’ eldest child, who she shares with ex Casey Aldridge. The Zoey 101 alum is also mom to 4-year-old daughter, Ivey, with husband Jamie Watson. “When ya find out ya have an extra day off work, so ya load up the toddler, driver 7 hours & get to surprise your oldest for Homecoming weekend,” Spears captioned her post, adding, “Nothing else I’d rather do & Nowhere else I’d rather be.” The country singer’s mother, Lynne Spears, left a comment on the post, reminiscing on how fast her granddaughter has grown up. “Where does the time go? ❤️😢 one minute little girl, then next my stunningly beautiful young lady!,” she wrote. The former Nickelodeon star also shared details from her daughter’s special day to her Instagram Story, where she revealed that she initially wanted Maddie to wear a different pair of shoes to the dance. “I really wanted Maddie to wear these fluffy shoes with her HC dress, & she wasn’t into it, which is when I decided to embarrass her a bit & wear them while we took their pics, bc I’m petty,” she wrote, alongside a photo of herself wearing a pair of extravagant, feather-covered heels. “Of course, she looked beautiful in the shoes she chose,” the actress continued, with a snap pointing to the more simple white heels that her daughter opted for. “Most importantly she felt good, which is ALL that truly matters, and I did change back to my normal shoes for the group pictures, but I will be wearing my fun new shoes in the future!” She also dubbed herself a “cool mom,” in a follow-up Instagram Story about the whole shoe debacle. Spears recently commemorated Maddie’s entrance into high school, while sharing photos from her first day of school. “Anddd just like that, my baby’s in high school👩🏼🏫📚✏️ *swipe to see how time literally flies by,” she wrote on the post from August, where she urged her followers, “Don’t take a second of it for granted.” More News:
