The actress posted a video on Instagram where she does a few simple exercises in a full black bodysuit outside her sunny home. In the video, Hawn exhibits easy exercises like jumping in place, lifting everyday objects such as wine bottles or large water bottles, and simply taking a walk. Proving that you don’t need expensive weights or a gym membership to stay healthy. Alongside the video, Hawn wrote about the benefits of daily exercise: “Research shows that people who exercise regularly have better mental health and emotional wellbeing [sic]. Physical exercise can help boost our mood, concentration, and also help us achieve a positive outlook on life.” “The great news is that exercise doesn’t have to be strenuous or take a long time to make us feel good. Studies show low or moderate-intensity exercise is enough to make a difference in our mood, behavior and thinking patterns,” she continued. Hawn focused on the positive mental effects of exercise, writing, “The levels of chemicals in the brain, such as serotonin, stress hormones and endorphins, can change after just a few minutes of a light workout! Recent research also indicates that exercise decreases sleep complaints and insomnia, and also improves our coping ability and self-esteem. We all know the physical benefits of exercise but it can also profoundly impact our mental health in an amazing way 🏃♂️❤️🧠.” The 76-year-old promoted the MindUP program, which she created as a part of the Goldie Hawn Foundation, “helping children develop the mental fitness needed to thrive since 2003.” Many commented on the video in support of Hawn and her message, such as Reese Witherspoon, who wrote, “I love you, Goldie 💓.” Hawn’s positive attitude is clearly well-loved by many, as one person commented, “👏👏👏❤️ You are always such a positive inspiration! I’m gonna go downstairs and do arm lifts with my half-empty wine bottles right now! Maybe take a sip or two then go walking! 😂.” Hawn’s daughter, Kate Hudson, also shared the video and message with her followers. Maybe next time, the two will create a special mother-daughter workout video for fans.
