Dreyer announced the happy news on TODAY on Tuesday morning with an adorable video of her and her eldest son, Calvin Bradley, 4, making cinnamon “buns in the oven.” In the clip, Dreyer, also mom to son Oliver George, 16 months, wears a shirt emblazoned with the word “mama,” hugs her bump while Calvin yells, “I’m having a baby!” She promised to share the “full recipe” in the third hour, when she revealed the sex of the baby: It’s a boy! She admitted that she and Fichera are “running out of names” for a baby boy and turned to viewers for ideas. Dreyer’s co-hosts cheered and said they knew something was up, with Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie admitting they had a secret text going back and forth speculating on Dreyer’s pregnancy status. Dreyer said the baby is due in November and that she’s had a bit more nausea than she had in her previous pregnancies. “It turns out, we really enjoy having kids,” Dreyer said of her and Fichera. “Because Calvin and Ollie are just so much fun! We’re like, ‘Let’s try for a third,’ and it wasn’t happening. So we said, ‘Let’s forget it, let’s move on.’ And then, surprise!” Dreyer added that Calvin is excited to be a big brother again, while Ollie doesn’t quite know that “his world is about to be rocked.” Fichera and Dreyer had fertility struggles, which she opened up about in 2019 when she announced her pregnancy with Oliver. Dreyer previously revealed that she had to undergo surgery to remove scar tissue from her Cesarean section from Calvin’s birth, which she believed helped her tremendously in getting pregnant again. She and Fichera were going to start in-vitro fertilization when she got the surprise news that she was already expecting her second baby. She recalled to PEOPLE, “I was just waiting for the phone call from Dr. Reichman, to tell me how much of each drug to use. Instead, when he called, he said, ‘Well, you can’t start IVF because you’re already pregnant!’ We were in complete shock. We couldn’t believe it!” “By putting my story out there, I feel like the thousands of prayers and good wishes we received really made a difference,” she said. “I knew it was in God’s hands, and this is certainly an answered prayer.” For his part, Fichera joked that Baby No. 3 was the result of watching so much Bridgerton during lockdown.
