The top 5 acts were automatically put through by America, and then acts six, seven, and eight took part in an Instant save: They were Beyond Belief, Kabir Singh and Madilyn Bailey. After America voted, judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara selected the seventh.

Then it was time for an entertainment break from last season winner Brandon Leake, who performed a spoken word poem with four youth poets. Then the save announcements continued. 1aChord was followed by Gina Brillon, Peter Rosalita, and Jimmie Herrod. The final act in the top 5 was Dustin Tavella. Then the AGT stage saw the return of DarciLynne with her puppet Oscar the Mouse. Next, Terry announced the results of the Instant Save and the winner was Kabir Singh. “I am pretty shocked,” he said. “Thank you so much America. It’s a dream come true. I know you voted for my mom, not for me. With the reveal of Kabir, it meant that there was just one spot left and the judges had to pick between Beyond Belief and Madilyn Bailey. Heidi voted first and chose Beyond Belief, Sofia cast her ballot for Beyond Belief, Howie picked Madilyn Bailey, and Simon selected Madilyn, so that the act that got the most votes from America would go through – and that act was Madilyn Bailey.
