Featured tonight will be a pole dancer, an impressionist, two singers, a danger act, a couple of dance crews, several magicians, and more. One of the 15 will win the Golden Buzzer, which will take them directly to the Live Shows. Last week, Simon selected 13-year-old Sara James from Ośno Lubuskie, for her performance of the emotional Billie Eilish song “Lovely.” “Sara, Sara, Sara, we’ve heard a lot of singers over the years, but wow!” Simon said. “This wasn’t perfect, but you have a real star glow about you. It must be such an unbelievable feeling doing this in front of an American audience because I am guessing this is where you dreamt of performing. I can remember when I came to America and that was 20 odd years ago. That was a moment I will never forget, and I want to make this a moment for you to remember forever.” Previously, Howie picked 11-year-old Madison Taylor Baez from Yorba Linda, Calif., who impressed the judges with her rendition of “Amazing Grace,” which was sneakily introduced during a break in the show. “People always ask what happens in the commercial breaks and amazing things happen in the commercial breaks,” Howie said. And on the first night of audition’s the Golden Buzzer was 21-year-old Avery Dixon from Atlanta, who performed “Try a Little Tenderness” by Otis Redding on the saxophone, and moved host Terry Crews into awarding him his Golden Buzzer. Terry said, “There’s no need to vote. Avery, you touched the heart of every human being in this building right now. I want to tell you, you’ve been bullied all your life, but you tell every bully that you have a big brother named Terry Crews, who has your back, and all those bullies are going to have to watch you succeed.” Which judge and which act will be awarded the Golden Buzzer tonight?
