The show brought back the last episode’s winner, Steve Clarke, who was joined by two new contestants, Ben Coller and Tehmeena Malik. Going into Final Jeopardy, Clarke was in the lead with $20,000, Coller in second place with $10,000, and Malik in third with $3,200. The Final Jeopardy category was “Pairs in Astronomy,” with the clue reading, “Discovered in 1877, they were named for siblings of the Greek god of love.”  The correct answer was, “What are Phobos and Deimos?” But what really baffled Jeopardy! viewers was what Coller and Clarke decided to wager.  Coller got the answer right, but he only wagered $3,000, while Clarke got it wrong but only bet $1, making him the champion for the second day in a row. But why did Coller bet so little?  Fans took to social media to discuss Coller’s choice, with many, like @Hohumdiddly, calling both his and Clarke’s bets “terrible wagers.”  Other Jeopardy! viewers highlighted the odd choice of Coller to not bet everything, as the extra $3,000 was in no way going to help him win unless Clarke bet a lot and got the question wrong. In this case, if he had bet $10,000, he would’ve been the winner. One fan wrote: “How did second place not wager all $10,000? The only question should have been whether the leader bet $0 or $1.”  Another fan succinctly summed up the episode’s Final Jeopardy by saying, “Absolute chaos in #jeopardy today. Nobody’s final wager made sense.” Fans will have to wait and see if Clarke makes a more interesting wager in the upcoming Jeopardy! game.  Next, Watch: Jeopardy!
